How can we at AAU work with pre-boarding?

How do we contribute to a safe study start for our new students? How can we work with better student retention? How do we create a good professional and social culture, where that the students face makes sense and motivates them?

Student retention researcher Professor Vincent Tinto points out that three parameters in particular are important to ensure coping with the transition to university and thus student retention after study start:

    Self-efficacy: The belief that you can cope with the challenges ahead - both academically, socially and culturally.

    Sense of Belonging: The experience of belonging among the other students on the study programme.

    Perceived value of Curriculum: What you face makes sense and is valuable and motivating.

Experiencing a safe social, academic and cultural integration takes place in stages. This can be done, for example, through:
