Examples from study environments

If you have a good example of how you have incorporated the following into your studies, please contact AAU Student Guidance.

What are the benefits of a mentor- or buddy arrangement?

Students are at risk of dropout if they do not master the academic integration or understand the academic code. Here, the mentors or buddys can strengthen academic integration. The purpose is to create better social and professional integration for students regardless of gender, ethnicity, or background, who themselves experience a need for this. It is expected that especially students with limited knowledge of the study culture will benefit from the arrangements.

If you want to know more

The responsibility for hiring volunteer mentors or buddy's lies with the study management. Responsibility for execution lies with the mentors. Therefore, contact either the head of studies or the chairman of the study board in relation to mentoring on a study programme.
